How We Handle Insurance at IPM
Our goal is to make quality health care accessible to everyone. We will bill you just like any other doctor’s office, but we also offer affordable options for people with high deductible insurance or no health insurance at all.
For Those With Health Insurance
We bill your insurance provider for each visit, and you cover the co-payment or deductible. The amount that you owe depends on the specific health insurance plan you have. If you have any questions on your coverage, call the number on your insurance card to learn more. For your co-payment, or for those who prefer to pay out-of-pocket, we accept checks, debit and credit cards. For those with an HMO plan, it’s important for you to call your health plan provider before your first visit and select one of our physicians as your PCP. This will reduce any insurance hassles later on and allow us to make referrals and order tests and prescriptions on your behalf.
Affordable Care Act/NY State of Health
We are pleased to participate in the Oscar ACA/Exchange plan. We participate with exchange plans that provide us with the best opportunity to provide the high level of care and service you expect from IPM. Our goal is to participate with as many plans as possible, and we expect to continue to expand the list of participating plans over time. For plans purchased privately (outside of an employer) through an insurance company, broker, or small business group, please be aware that if we are not in-network with their Exchange counterparts we may not be in-network with those plans.
We are pleased to be in-network with a handful of Medicare Advantage plans to better serve our members age 65 and older. These plans often offer coverage beyond traditional Medicare with low monthly premiums.
